H2O
Damn, it is already the end of March.
I think I am almost recovered from my cold/fever/whatever the hell it’s called. I’ve been drinking so much water that I have to pee like 10 freaking times a day.
Then again, my illnesses seem to be quite erratic so who knows, I might wake up sicker tomorrow than today.
Just 5 more days before Spring Break. I guess I have a few plans. Bike rides to the beach, shopping like crazy in Long Beach/Los Angeles/Irvine, going to concerts with Kring, train rides, night drives… yep, sounds like a party.
I feel bad that I got sick because I couldn’t help dad at work yesterday. Mom&pop shops are so awesome… sucks that they’re all disappearing. Well, same thing will happen to us next year. It’ll all be over soon.
hahaha I googled our shop’s address to because I forgot it and then I saw reviews for our store. Hi-lar-ious. One customer review was about how our video store had good porn. Interesting, I know our shop is rather famous around the neighborhood but nice to know that we rank pretty high on our exceptional selection of videos. Being around this for years, people don’t surprise me or anything. It’s become a rather normal thing for me. It’s a business and I just see it as an opportunity for money. After all, that’s what we’re really after. Fuck values and all, it’s about about the money.
Or so that’s what I’d like to think. Well, I guess, if people want it and they have money, they aren’t doing anything wrong. We aren’t forcing anyone to spend their money on anything. Business is all about having the goods and someone wanting them. But a few weeks ago a guy dropped off a video and there was a note written on the receipt to my dad. I forgot what it said exactly but it was along the lines of something like this:
I need help. I don’t want to rent videos like this but sometimes I can’t help it; it’s in my flesh. Can you block my membership from xrated movies? It’s ruining my morals and my soul.
& I don’t know, then and there I felt so sorry for that guy. He was young, no more than perhaps 30, and he was asking help from strangers-from businesspeople. We’re all human, we’re all people with family and feelings. I’m glad he’s getting his life together. I really do.
So since I’m on the subject of videos, I watched another wonderful movie today. I watched 陽気なギャングが地球を回す A.K.A. A Cheerful Gang Turns the Earth
Yepp. & thanks to this video, I was exposed to a new band (well, new to me not the world) called ~Futon!
This band is the shit. It took forever trying to find their music though. Argh. I only managed to get their latest album “Painkiller”
Yeeees. Good stuff. I hope they play in Vietnam… I heard they play all over Europe & Asia. AHHH. I can’t wait to go to Vietnam this summer. =D
